We also need to equip ourselves with skills to be compatible with artificial
intelligence, as well as to have knowledge in big data management and
Internet of Things.
That's why we need more data scientists in the public sector. We need
people who can manage new stuff.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, once said that the public service
scheme now might not be relevant in the future.
People are afraid that they will be jobless when there is more use of robots
in the industry and organisations. When we have robots to do tasks they
still need to be managed by humans. Hence, it is important to have robotic
knowledge.
Do not be afraid that there will be no jobs in the future. Maybe there will be
better jobs with better Income as there will be demand for data scientists
and data management experts. We need someone who has the
intelligence to develop robotic things. We also need to figure out the jobs
that may no longer be relevant in the coming years. We need to create
relevant jobs supply and optimise the resources.
These are among the challenges we need to deal with. We need to develop
a framework and know what are the priorities for the people in the future
because everything will be based on demand, not supply.
