Lawatan kerja ke Akademi Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia, Wakaf Tapai, Terengganu telah diadakan pada 2 Mac 2022. Lawatan kerja ini dilaksanakan susulan daripada permohonan Jabatan Bomba Dan Penyelamat (JBPM) bagi pemanjangan bayaran elaun khas bomba iaitu Bayaran Insentif HAZMAT, Bayaran Insentif Penyelamat di Air, Bayaran Insentif Rawatan Kecemasan dan Elaun Tanggungjawab Khas Pemandu pegawai bomba yang bertugas sebagai Jurulatih/ Tenaga Pengajar di Akademi Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (ABPM). Lawatan ini dilaksanakan bagi menilai keseluruhan aspek permohonan sebelum sebarang keputusan dibuat oleh pihak Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA). Delegasi lawatan JPA ini diketuai oleh YBhg. Datuk Awang Alik bin Jeman, mantan Pengarah Bahagian Gaji dan Elaun (BGE) bersama Timbalan Pengarah dan wakil daripada Sektor Dasar Elaun, BGE. Turut hadir bersama adalah wakil daripada pihak Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT) dan JBPM. Antara pengisian yang dilaksanakan sepanjang sesi lawatan kerja adalah seperti berikut: i) Penyampaian taklimat oleh ABPM diikuti perbincangan antara pihak JPA bersama-sama dengan wakil KPKT dan JPBM berhubung permohonan pemanjangan bayaran elaun pasukan khas pihak JBPM kepada Jurulatih/ Tenaga Pengajar ABPM; ii) Sesi demonstrasi kebombaan oleh Pasukan HAZMAT, Pasukan Penyelamat di Air (PPDA) dan Pasukan Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) yang terdiri daripada Jurulatih/Tenaga Pengajar ABPM; dan iii) Sesi pendedahan kepada tatacara penangkapan dan pengurusan haiwan berbahaya iaitu ular tedung. A working visit to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Academy, Wakaf Tapai, Terengganu, was conducted on 2 March 2022. This working visit was in response to a request from the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) for an extension of special fire department allowances, namely the HAZMAT Incentive Payment, Water Rescue Incentive Payment, Emergency Treatment Incentive Payment, and Special Responsibility Allowance for Fire Officers who serve as Trainers/Instructors at the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Academy (ABPM). The visit was carried out to assess all aspects of the request before any decision was made by the Public Service Department (PSD). The PSD delegation was led by YBhg. Datuk Awang Alik bin Jeman, the former Director of the Remuneration Division (BGE), along with the Deputy Director and representatives from the Allowance Policy Sector, BGE. Representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) and JBPM were also present. Among the activities carried out during the working visit were as follows: i) Presentation and briefing by ABPM followed by discussions between PSD, KPKT, and JBPM representatives regarding the extension of special team allowances for JBPM personnel serving as Trainers/ Instructors at ABPM; ii) Demonstration sessions by the HAZMAT Team, water rescue by the Water Rescue Team (PPDA), and Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) by ABPM Trainers/ Instructors; and iii) An exposure session on the procedures for capturing and managing dangerous animals, specifically Cobra snakes.
