This phenomenon is not merely the result of interpersonal conflict but often stems from the abuse of power and weaknesses within organisational structures. What is often dismissed as a “joke” or “normal behaviour” in fact conceals deep psychological wounds. In reality, workplace bullying undermines mental wellbeing, reduces productivity and erodes the very values of humanity and professionalism within organisations. Workplace bullying refers to repeated acts of intimidation, unethical behaviour, and inhumane treatment by an individual or group towards a colleague. Such behaviour does not only cause emotional distress but also damages dignity, weakens psychological wellbeing, and leaves lasting effects on motivation and work performance.
