jpa2019 | 101 Program Dermasiswa B40 mula diperkenalkan pada tahun 2016 di bawah Model Baharu Penajaan. Program ini mensasarkan kepada pelajar-pelajar yang sedang mengikuti pengajian peringkat Diploma dan Sijil Profesional daripada latar belakang keluarga berpendapatan rendah, iaitu golongan B40 untuk diberi penajaan secara kaedah Dermasiswa. The Dermasiwa B40 Programme was introduced in 2016 under the New Sponsorship Model. The programme is aimed at students pursuing Diploma and Professional Certificates from a low-income family background, which is from the B40 class for sponsorship through the Dermasiswa method. Objektif pelaksanaan program ini adalah bagi membantu pelajar- pelajar lepasan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) dalam kalangan keluarga berpendapatan rendah untuk melanjutkan pengajian ke peringkat yang lebih tinggi, khususnya diploma bidang TVET dan sijil profesional yang mempunyai prospek tinggi kepada industri. Ini adalah selaras dengan strategi Rancangan Malaysia Ke-11 untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan kekayaan isi rumah B40 dengan meningkatkan akses kepada pendidikan tinggi dan latihan kemahiran. The objective of implementing this programme is to help students with SPM education among low-income families to pursue higher education, especially TVET diplomas and professional certificates with high prospects in the industry. This is in line with the strategy of the 11th Malaysia Plan which is to increase B40 household income and wealth by increasing access to higher education and training. Peringkatpengajianyangditajadibawahprogram ini ialahDiploma dan Sijil Profesional secara sepenuh masa dengan bilangan tajaan sebanyak 1500 tempat. Bagi tahun 2019, penajaan adalah melibatkan pengajian yang ditawarkan oleh Universiti Awam, Politeknik, Institut Kemahiran Awam, UniKL Malaysia Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT), UniKL Malaysia Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA (KUPTM) dan universiti bertaraf Government Linked Universities (GLU) serta Nilai University dan DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia. Courses sponsored by the programme are full-time Diplomas and Professional Certificates with a number of 1500 places. For 2019, sponsorships include courses offered by the Public Universities, Polytechnic, Public Skills Institute, UniKL Malaysia Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT), UniKL Malaysia Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), MARA Poly-Tech University College (KUPTM) and Government Linked Universities (GLU) as well as the Nilai University and DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia.
