JPA | 83 EFFECTIVENESS IMPACT RESEARCH WORKSHOP TALENT ACCELERATION IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE (TAPS) PROGRAMME The Talent Acceleration in the Public Service (TAPS) program impact research workshop was held at Avillion Legacy Hotel, Melaka on 4-6 April 2018 (Wednesday – Friday) and was entered by 43 participants from members of JK Kerja Taps including the Deputy Senior Director (TPBK(I)), BMI. Apart from that, 14 supervisors/mentors for TAPS Cohort 5 program participants were also present as the meeting and workshop were in session. 14 representatives from Human Resource Division from 8 relevant Ministries/Departments/Agencies (identified by BK) were duly present to aid in obtaining appropriate ‘input’ pertaining to scheme and strategic position required to fulfil the placement of TAPS Cohort 6. The main objectives of the workshop are as follows: a)​ To discuss and refine the objectives and directions of TAPS Cohort 6 Program; b) To analyse the same things from the TAPS Cohort 3 - 5 program effectiveness surveys that were conducted via survey forms. c) To refine the selection and appointment method of TAPS Cohort 6 participants; and d)​ To analyse of strategic positions scheme and the suitability of Ministries/Agencies requiring the next generation of TAPS Cohort 6 participants, through meetings and discussions organized by BPO. The workshop had succeeded in outlining suggestions that encompasses the directions and current objectives of TAPS Program, the candidate selection method, appointment method as well as ideas on filling strategic positions and the suitability of Ministries/Agencies’ placement.
