JPA | 79 dikenal pasti layak untuk ditaja di bawah program ini dan calon-calon ini terdiri dari pelajar-pelajar cemerlang lepasan SPM yang terdiri dari pelbagai lapisan kaum dan etnik dari seluruh negeri di Malaysia Program taklimat tersebut telah diadakan pada 19 Mei 2018 bertempat di Dewan Utama Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia dan turut dihadiri oleh Pengarah Bahagian Pembangunan Modal Insan, barisan timbalan- timbalan pengarah bahagian serta wakil pegawai-pegawai BMI. Program tersebut telah berjaya mencapai objektif utama iaitu untuk memberi penjelasan kepada pelajar-pelajar serta ibu bapa berhubung dasar penajaan JPA, mekanisme penawaran dan perkara-perkara berkaitan ikatan perjanjian di antara pihak pelajar dan pihak Kerajaan. Melalui sesi ini juga, pelajar-pelajar telah diberi peluang untuk berinteraksi secara terus dengan pegawai-pegawai JPA bagi mendapatkan penjelasan yang lebih terperinci kepada persoalan-persoalan berkaitan penajaan JPA di bawah Program Penajaan 9A+. The 9A+ Sponsorship Programme is the sponsorship of excellent students of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) that have obtained at least 9A+ in any subjects to pursue studies in local universities. Candidates that are offered sponsorship via Variable Loan (PBU) to pursue studies at pre-university level up to their First Degree are subjected to conditions imposed and field recognition. 782 of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia of the year 2017 graduates were recognised as eligible for sponsorship under this program and these candidates were among the excellent SPM graduates from various races and ethnicities from all over Malaysia. The briefing program was held on 19 May 2018 at Dewan Utama Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia and was attended by the Director of Human Capital Development Division, line of deputies directors for divisions as well as representatives of BMI officers.The program was successful in achieving the main objective of providing explanation to students as well as parents regarding the basis of JPA sponsorship, the offering mechanism and other matters relating to agreements between students and the Government. Through the programme, students were also given the opportunity to interact directly with the JPA officers to gain a more detailed clarification for concerns relating to JPA sponsorship under the 9A+ Sponsorship Programme.
