490 Varia Ranah: Sorotan Ilmiah Perkhidmatan Awam Human Resource Management Sustainability Development Strategy Of Local Government: Planning And Practices Nur Iskandar bin Nur Dzainuddin, M54 ABSTRACT Sustainable development strategy has been gaining increasing importance in private and public organisations. Despite its significant contribution to core organisational outputs, a total sustainable development strategy for an organisation as a whole is not widely designed and applied with particular for public organisation. Hence, it is worth to understand and develop critical foundation for public sector human resource sustainable developmental strategy. Findings suggest that the separation of support functions from organisational sustainable development strategy is prevalent. Thus, the absence of human resource sustainable development strategy is a call for all HR managers to develop the basis of human resource strategic management which supposed to be integrated, coherent and cohesive with the overall sustainable development strategy of an organisation.
