Transparency and accountability Transparency and accountability are critical components of good governance, and they can significantly impact promoting civic consciousness, unity, and social justice among public servants (Das & Rahman, 2021; Ebrahim & Brinkerhoff, 2022; Sipe & Bryson, 2021). When public servants are transparent and accountable, they demonstrate a commitment to serving the public interest, which can help build trust and confidence among community members.
