Malaysia has also invested and implemented various efforts to raise income and enhance people's wellbeing. However, according to the Twelfth Malaysia Plan, Malaysia has yet to become a fully developed country that was introduced through Vision 2020. The impact of corruption, financial mismanagement, and social disunity, as well as the global COVID-19 pandemic, have affected the progress of national development and slowed it down to achieve a high-income economy threshold level. Therefore, to mitigate the issues, the Malaysia MADANI leadership is believed to have a national philosophy that coincides and is timely in embarking upon re-building the nation's economy through fair, equitable, and inclusive economic distributions to all income groups, women, and other marginalised groups. It is also aimed at facilitating progress towards a united, prosperous, and dignified nation. Moreover, promoting Malaysia's six core values as the basis for strengthening the nation's development, which encompasses various sectors, namely economy, finance, legislation, education, community, culture, urban, and rural areas, is crucial and important in order to keep track of the efforts in re-building Malaysia towards a developed country.
