At present, in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (KPKM) particularly, work stress has a significant impact on work satisfaction and the parameters between it remain unclear. The paper had a response rate of 37.1% from the participation by employees throughout the ministry. Data analyses were done using SPSS specifically on correlation. Results indicated work stress has impact on work satisfaction. Low work stress levels contributed to high work satisfaction. On the other hand, the length of work in the government service and at the ministry have a negative relationship toward work satisfaction too. Future research may focus on the relationship between work environment and management support towards work satisfaction at the ministry.
