Therefore, to ensure that this effort can be achieved, an instrument called the Saringan Kesejahteraan Psikologi 3A was developed to identify the individual issues and levels of psychological well-being among the elderly at the Institution of the Social Welfare Department. This screening indirectly helps the Psychological Officer make a psychological intervention and counseling plan according to the needs of the elderly. Validity and reliability have been done on the instrument to ensure that the constructiveness and indicators of each item in this instrument are suitable for the variables to be measured as well as compatibility with respondents involving 5 experts. A pilot test was conducted involving 50 elderly people at the Rumah Seri Kenangan, Social Welfare Department. Data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 26.0. In conclusion, this study shows that Saringan Kesejahteraan Psikologi 3A has a high face and content validity and reliability of 0.95 and it is suitable to use as a screening to identify issues and levels of psychological well-being among the elderly in the Social Welfare Department.
